Naoko's Birthday

It was a lovely day in town the sun was shining the birds were singing the cars were roaring through the roads and all seemed to be a good day especially for one young lady.

A wolf known as Naoko was getting ready for the day ahead for she knew today was her birthday and her age was a tender sweet sixteen, still young but yet now blossiming.

She made sure that everything she was wearing was decent and her fur was all right to go out in she didn't want to leave until she was sure she looked perfect. With that settled she went out to search for her friends most she considred to be close, while crossing some roads she wondered what would the day have in store for her.

She soon came to the home of her boyfriend JC and smiled as she made sure she was looking right for the echidna's eyes, at that moment she saw him open the door and look to her and smiled.

"Hey sweety." he said while kissing her cheek and she returned it.

"Hi, you know what day it is today?" she said with a big wide smile plastered across her face.

"Yeah I know... today is the day I get that new skateboard." he replied with the same smile but hers turned into one of confusion as she asks "What?"

"Look I be off I will see you soon ok?" he said with a kiss on her cheek once more he went.

"Yeah.. see you soon." she replied not wanting to make big deal yet since its only the start of the day.

The wolf sighed and looked around thinking and soon decided to head to find some of her other friends who she knew would be out and about hanging out on the streets.

She crossed the roads to find the park where she saw some of her friends talking and with shopping bags of random stores obviously doing the usual things, she broke out into a sprint towards them one of her friends saw her and waved.

"Hey Naoko how are you doing?" one of her friends asked.

"Hi yeah I am fine, shopping?" Naoko asked

"Yeah bought some neat things.." her friend said happily but at that point she looked at her watch and said "Ohhh look at the time we better get going sorry Naoko we have to be off see you some other time." the friend said to her and went off with the rest of the group leaving Naoko wondering what was going on.

Hours Later

The red cloak wearing fox was cleaning his home with Forest on the chair watching her adoptive dad and clapping happily as children would, a knock was soon heard at the door and the vulpine went to get the door and saw the female wolf before him.

"Nao hi." he said cheerfully while hugging her she returned the hug and replied "Hi Fel."

"Come in its good to see you." he said caring like since he haven't seen her in so long the two soon sat down and once Forest saw Naoko the little green fox hugged the wolf's tail this brought a smile to her face.

"Hi there little Forest." she cuddled Forest close to her and looked to Felouse and said "Fel do you know what day it is?"

"Ermmmm sure.. its Sunday 12th." he replied casual like.

"No I mean... nevermind seems everyone seem to have forgotten." the female wolf said as she looked to Forest and stroked her head making the small vulpine child give off a cute smile.

It was then Felouse looked at her caring like and put a comforting like hand on her shoulder and said softly "Happy birthday Naoko."

The female wolf at first looked to her close brotherly like vulpine in shock but then smiled and hugged him tightly with Forest in safe distance from getting squished.

"Ohhhh thank you Fel I was wondering when someone would remember." she said in a good and joyful voice.

The orange vulpine stroked her head softly and looked around a bit and said "I got your present its in the kitchen."

"What ohhh you shouldn't have done that." without protest she followed the vulpine to the kitchen and he said while opening the door to the back garden "Naoko you deserve everything." and with that he made the door fly open and all of sudden her field of vision was filled with recognisable faces and all she heard was "Suprise!"

This shocked the wolf and looked to everyone while saying "I thought you all forgot."

The echidna known as JC came up to her giving her a kiss to the end of her nose "Forget? Us? You should know us all better then that." he said with a playful tone to his girlfriend.

All eyes were on the woman of sweet sixteen who only smiled upon seeing food on table, gifts in a nice neat pile, all of her close friends and lover here and a big cake with the number 16 on top at the table that was white with whipped cream frosting since the other kinds made her sick.

"Shall we get the party started." a dark red lion with a black mane said in a nice tone of voice who got a kiss on the cheek from his loving silly red cloaked fox.

Naoko again smiled and said "Thank you all this was the biggest suprise I had." from there everyone started to have fun as JC and Naoko were talking and off to open the gifts with everyone over looking the gifts.

As she unwrapped each gift she thanked each other and accepted the gifts no matter how big nor small, it was then time for the cutting of the cake which she took delight in, but before she could do that she heard someone say "Lets sing happy birthday!"

With that all the party members sang "Happy birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday dear Naoko happy birthday to you."

Naoko smiled at this and once more went to cut the cake this time savouring the moment of slicing the one piece. Upon cutting the cake she just had to think this year would be a good year for her age.
